Angelina Lai

Angelina is a qualified actuary and her career spans across the UK, Europe, United States and Asia working in life insurance, bancassurance and wealth management, with a focus on Asset & Liability Management, investment and capital matters.
 
Angelina is passionate about sustainability and is a volunteer with a number of different organisations in various roles including being the editor for a sustainable finance newsletter, a research group on carbon pricing and sequestration, and she is involved in public education events on topics of ocean conservation and plastic pollution.

A. Rama Krishna
Founder & Chief Executive Officer,
ARGA Investment Management

Rama has over 30 years’ experience in managing global equities. Before founding ARGA in 2010, Rama was President - International, Managing Principal, Member of Executive Committee, and Portfolio Manager at Pzena Investment Management in New York. In addition to launching and managing the US Large Cap Value strategy in his early years at Pzena, he led the development of the International Value and Global Value strategies and co-managed the Emerging Markets Value strategy.

Previously, Rama was at Citigroup Asset Management, where he was Chief Investment Officer and Head of Institutional and International. He also represented the asset management business on the Citigroup Management Committee and managed the Global Emerging Markets Equity strategy.

Rama earned a joint M.B.A./M.A. in Asian Studies with a Japan Specialization from the University of Michigan in 1987 and a B.A. (Honors) in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, The University of Delhi in 1984.

David Copsey
Portfolio Manager, Multi Asset Solutions Group,
Goldman Sachs

David joined Goldman Sachs in 2008 in the Operations Division, supporting the Private Wealth Management Business. He then moved to a role in the Portfolio Control and Analysis team, working alongside the Institutional Business. In 2014, David joined the Multi Asset Solutions Group and has spent the last decade in this team.

David graduated from Loughborough University with a BA in International Business.

Nick Marro
Principal Economist, Asia-Pacific, Lead Analyst, Global Trade,
Economist Intelligence Unit

As Principal Economist for Asia, Nick helps craft and guide EIUʼs economic and political forecasts for the entire Asian region. He is also our lead analyst for global trade, looking at the intersection between geopolitics and trade, and regularly delivers briefings on how to navigate the Chinaʼs evolving relationship with the West.

Nick has spent over a decade in Asia analysing regional economics, political developments and international trade policy. He is responsible for EIUʼs views on Taiwan and Australia, while also helping shape our views for China and Hong Kong. In that role, Nick also leads EIUʼs analysis of China-Taiwan relations, including how companies and governments can mitigate the risks attached to cross-Strait ties.

Prior to joining EIU, Nick conducted trade research in Beijing with the US-China Business Council, where he advised US companies on the Chinese market. He graduated from the University of Virginia with degrees in Foreign Affairs and Chinese, and holds graduate certification from the Johns Hopkins-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies.
